1. JOB PURPOSE:

As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating opportunities; Create Financial models perform due diligence, analyzing market trends and financial data to support strategic decision-making.

2. ORGANISATIONAL CHART

This Role shall directly report to CBO, Moreover closely working with other business roles.

3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities :

Industry Trends, Research & Financial Modelling:

- Track renewables industry trends on various Central & State level tenders and C&I segment in terms of tariffs, over/under subscription, returns, offtake credit worthiness and technology mix

- Stay abreast of latest renewable energy landscape by reading latest industry reports, competitor annual reports, attending key industry events etc.

- Carry out the detailed financial modelling from scratch, also conduct comprehensive financial analysis, and provide commercial insights including valuations, pro-forma financial modelling and risk assessment to evaluate feasibility of each renewable energy transaction.

Key Performance Indicators :

- Number of tenders analyzed

- Number of industry reports, competitor annual reports, and regulatory updates reviewed

- Number of financial models developed and updated per project

- Variance between projected and actual financial performance of projects

Financial Modelling & Investment Analysis:

- Prepare Model Inputs and collaborate with Finance team for running bid financial model for photovoltaic / hybrid (wind + Solar) / Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

- Especially for different types of FDRE, RTC and Peak power tender constructs

Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for renewable energy projects.

- Prepare the investment reports, presentations for management decision making as per the requirement of project;

Key Performance Indicators:

- Accuracy of bid financials

- Turnaround time for financial model completion

- Number of investment reports and presentations prepared

- Accuracy of budgeting and forecasting

Business Case Development & Strategic Deal Support:

- Assist in the development of business cases for new initiatives and investments in renewable energy;

- Assist in monitoring of business progress by developing automated intelligent dashboards.

- Collaborate and support with legal and finance teams to structure renewable energy deals, negotiate terms and ensure alignment with strategic objectives; - Number of business cases developed and submitted

- Effectiveness of automated dashboards

- Timeliness and quality of collaboration with legal and finance teams

- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on current and future projects;

- Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting growth opportunities, market insights and impact on the business and progress towards expansion goals;

- Accuracy and timeliness of regulatory impact reports

- Number of reports and presentations delivered to senior management

- Implementation rate of strategic recommendations

INTERACTIONS:

- Interaction with Market players, Government agencies,

- Regulatory bodies, C& I customers and Bidding agencies, along with stakeholders in Renewable spaces

INTERNAL - Roles you need to interact with inside the organization to enable success in your day to day work

- Closely work with Legal team , finance team etc

- Interactions with CBO, and all the Head roles in the organization.

6. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Economics/ Engineering + MBA /CA/ CFA from Tier 1 institution

- High analytical in thinking and acting fast based on the situation

- Strong financial modelling, in depth knowledge of Excel (including macros) and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights;

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely;

- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, markets, and regulatory environment

Relevant and total years of Experience:

- 10-12 years experience with atleast recent 5 years in renewables energy space

- Proven experience in financial and commercial analysis, preferably within renewable energy
